Mr. V.K. Gupta
In order to mark the changing face of the Indian woman, we celebrate the dynamism and drive of the extraordinary and ordinary women of our country. Through our magazine this year we would like our readers who are students and parents to appreciate and salute the women achievers as well as rejoice the presence of woman in the family.
I would like to remind you all that though India has had its share of dark times for women but it is worth noting that Sarojini Naidu the first woman President of Indian National Congress (1952) was elected 50 years earlier than the first woman leader of Britain Margret Thatcher.
The so called advanced country like Japan has no female leadership where as the Indian sub continent can boast of number of women leaders.
India is in the midst of great change with rising importance and the empowerment of women.
Let us be part of that change. This century belongs to India, if realize the tremendous life force and energy of our women!
